AdSense and Youtube: When will I receive my payments?

AdSense series in 6 parts

The good news first: AdSense and YouTube earnings are paid out to millions of people around the world every month. It's a logistical masterstroke, if you didn't know that Google is also a master of automation. That's why all the verification processes must have run their course beforehand.

Payment requirements

What are the preconditions?

  • AdSense account must be created and approved
  • The identity must be checked
  • The address is checked by post via PIN
  • The bank details must have been deposited and verified by a test transfer.

These conditions are usually met by the time the question is asked in the community: When will my money arrive? Another condition is usually more difficult:

  • The EUR 70 threshold

It's actually not that hard. YouTube Analytics and the AdSense dashboard will show you your estimated earnings.

The verification of the estimated earnings

Example: Payments info

The estimated earnings is verified again (sometimes there are deductions for invalid clicks) and only then is the revenue credited to the relevant month. And there are different times for YouTube and AdSense for websites:

YouTube

The previous month's earnings are reviewed between the 7th and 10th of the following month (sometimes it takes until the middle of the month) and then credited to your AdSense account as the previous month's earnings. This often leads to confusion and the feeling that the revenue has not been credited to the AdSense account for a long time. So another example:

  • 1-30 June: Advertising revenue shown as estimated earnings in YouTube Analytics.
  • 7-10 July: The estimated income is verified.
  • Mid-July: Verified earnings are credited to your AdSense account for the month of June.

At this point, you must have reached the 70 EUR threshold. The estimated income for July is not yet included.

AdSense for websites

The previous month's earnings are reviewed at the beginning of the following month, usually on the 1st or 2nd, and then credited to your AdSense account as earnings - AdSense for content - as your account balance.

From mid-2022, YouTube and AdSense for content earnings will be shown separately , and you will need to reach the threshold in each category.

Date of payment

When the minimum amount has been reached: The payment run will take place after the 21st of the month and the money will usually be in your account within a few days, depending on whether there are weekends or public holidays. The payment run is usually announced as pending in the payment information:

And the actual payment is on its way:

The payment documents

You can find your receipts and payment information in the AdSense dashboard at:

Payments / Payments info/ Transactions / View transactions

When you monetise Youtube, you can choose between the Youtube payment account for current payments and the AdSense payment account for past payments at the top left.

Click on the link "Automatic payment Bank account ..." to get to the payment receipt. Select the option "Detailed transaction view" and "All transactions":

My tip for paying: Don't get nervous, a little patience usually helps. And if you still have questions: Use the free community option on the Google Help forums:
